Our commitment to medical innovation and unmatched attention to patient experience are just two of the many elements that set Sun Health Communities apart from the industry standard. National recognition in US World News & Report’s Honor Roll and consistent five-star ratings from the Arizona Department of Health Services provide the proof that Sun Health stands as a leader in personalized rehabilitation therapy.
Rehabilitation services are designed to facilitate recovery from injury, illness, or hospitalization, as well as to improve quality of life and overall functioning. A multi-disciplinary team collaborates in order to design a customized rehabilitation and therapy program based around the individual’s needs. Therapy programs can range from physical therapy, occupational therapy, or speech therapy. The goals of rehabilitation can include recovering from loss of mobility, improving communication skills, or adapting to the use of assistive devices such as walkers or canes.
Rehabilitation services can be categorized within two main subsets: short-term transitional rehabilitation and outpatient rehabilitation.
Short-Term Transitional Rehabilitation
Short-term transitional rehabilitation serves as a midpoint between hospital and home, offering a safe and caring environment to promote healing. Private and some semi-private rooms provide comfortable and relaxing accommodations, while qualified professionals are available 24/7 for personalized attention and support. Recovering within a short-term transitional rehabilitation setting helps to ensure that the process goes as smooth as possible, in order to facilitate a return to healthy living.
Outpatient rehabilitation is for those who require therapy but can continue to live at home. This also serves as an opportunity for individuals who need less-intensive rehabilitation to get the care they need, when they need it. Outpatient rehabilitation also includes physical, occupational, and speech therapy. Rehabilitation can be provided daily, weekly, or as determined by the individual and their physician.
Our rehabilitation services are backed by the latest technology and proven techniques. As a proven leader in personalized rehabilitation therapy, we’re constantly innovating the way we approach and address the needs of those who trust us to aid in their recovery.
